Wake me up at …

Posted: June 28, 2010 by iJose in Life, People, Work

I’m leading a life where time is of an essence, and I believe that most, if not all, of us are the same. So, people invented clocks, (like wall clocks, or Big Ben clocks), watches (hand watches :p), and of course, alarms.

My input here is about alarms, what i personally do is that readjusted my computers, laptops, mobiles, car clocks timings 7 minutes earlier so that i get to be a head of time, or at least, trying to.

I set my room alarm to 05:48 in the morning. Why not 05:50 or 06:00 ? well, because the other numbers have the exact same right as the zeros or fives have.

Therefore, this is an official open invitation from La7tha Shway people to start using the sevens, threes or even the ones in your alarms.

Social vs. Personal

Posted: June 28, 2010 by a la Mocha in Life, People

Many times you see a person who’s smiley and cheerful from the outside; so easy to approach and so close to the heart, even upon the first encounter. You see them acting very socially, talking so nicely and in a matter of minutes you feel like you’ve known them for a long time. You think to yourself: Wow, this person is such a sweetheart and is well-rounded and educated. They seem so positive. They must lead a happy life.

However, appearances can be deceiving at times. Meeting someone in a social context is just one side of the coin. The flip side could reflect an opposing imagine. One that conceals sadness or depression or a broken soul struggling to remain composed and unshattered. No one lives a perfect life. And believe it or not, sometimes even the last person you could ever imagine to be sad might be crying themselves to sleep every night.

Moral of this post is..

Well, no moral. Just sharing a fact I guess.

On a lighter note, learning interpersonal skills is quiet interesting. :) Perhaps I’ll share a thing or 2 in an upcoming post.

Euthanasia

I personally like reading topics or watching movies about things that are controversial. Just finished watching “You Don’t Know Jack”, starring the best actor of the century Al Pacino.

He was playing Jack Kevorkian. It’s worth watching, it’s a different kind of movie, and it’s Al Pacino.

Tell me what you think about it.

here’s the trailer and bio.

another challenge around the corner !

In life, we would never enjoy winning battles, without the bitter taste of challenge. Those who achieve things without a sweat drop or a sleepless night, I do pitty them. Not because they’ve reached their goal, but because they did not taste the real thing.

I love challenges, to an extent that I seek em sometimes, I have my ups and downs, yet again my heart is pumping blood and my brain is leading the way.

Everybody dreams, but make sure you make your dream a reality, and only then, you’re a day dreamer. Stay away from those whose the word “impossible” is like drinking water. But instead, create your world, where the …

Impossible is Nothing !

When I was fast asleep..

I woke up this morning only to find my 3 pillows and Andy, my stuffed animal sleep buddy, on the couch. So I was basically sleeping on my bed mattress directly, pillowless, with my blanket on me. How my pillows managed to jump off the bed and so properly sit themselves on the couch, I don’t know. Maybe Andy was playing a prank on me.

Or maybe it was just me. Again. >.<

Karma supports the theory that the world goes round and round. Doing something bad to someone will, in turn, come back and strike you. This means that no crime goes unpunished, which ultimately insures justice and balance in the world. Thank God for that.

I really don’t understand why some people can be evil, especially when they are evil for no apparent reason. Is it caused by their lack of self-security? Envy? Do they gain satisfaction by doing evil things? Do they find pleasure in hurting others?

I honestly cannot process human evilness. I cannot impose evil on anything, let alone a human being. So I wonder how those people function mentally. How does their mind work, cuz it seriously seems sick. That’s the only valid reason I can get myself to grasp; they are mentally ill people.

I can see people doing bad things to others out of revenge or anger, but that is triggered by rage. I see evilness as being on a totally different level. It is over-analyzing and scheming and being sly and impure and paranoid and delusional. Evil minds are disturbed and morally corrupt. They’re not sane, basically. Unsound minds.

All I can say is, Allah ykafina sharhom. And may Karma do its thaang!
